Furniture World Competition Terms and Conditions 

These Terms and Conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. By submitting your entry to this competition, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Entry instructions form part of these Terms and Conditions.

To Enter:

Eligibility:

  1. Furniture Worlds Competition is open to residents of Devon and Cornwall aged 18 or over.
  2. Entrants that enter and win, outside of our delivery area may incur a delivery charge on their prize.
  3. Employees and their immediate families, of Furniture World (“the Promoter”), or anyone professionally connected with this competition are not permitted to enter.
  4. One entry per person during the promotional period.
  5. One win per household.
  6. Valid UK postal address required for prize fulfillment.
  7. No purchase is necessary.

Promotional Period:

The promotion will commence at 10:00 BST on 13th December and closes at 12:00pm on 16th December 2019.

The Prize: 

  1. The prize is 2 cushions for the winner and two cushions for a tagged friend, valued at a maximum prize value of £192, entrants will have the chance to choose 4 cushions of their choice.
  2. All prizes are non-transferable (no cash alternative) and will be issued to the winner listed as the lead contact at the time of entry. Prizes are as stated there are no alternatives.
  3. The prize will be delivered via our local Furniture World delivery in Devon and Cornwall.
  4. If the prize winner is outside of our local delivery area the prize will be sent by post. For areas not covered by our local delivery drivers, a delivery charge may be added at Furniture Worlds Discretion. 

Winner Selection & Notification:

  1. The winner will be chosen by independent third-party Woobox LLC
  2. One winner will be randomly selected from all valid entries received during the Promotional Period.
  3. The winner's name will be announced on the competition post on the Furniture World Facebook Page. 
  4. The winner must contact Furniture World via Facebook messenger where we will collect delivery name, address and phone number for prize delivery.
  5. If a winner does not provide valid contact details, does not get in touch via direct message within 5 working days from the end of the competition, the prize may be reallocated by furniture world to a reserve winner selected in the same manner
  6. If a winner does not provide valid UK postal address for delivery of the prize, the prize may be reallocated by Furniture World to a reserve winner selected in the same manner
  7. Prizes will be sent to winners using our local Furniture World delivery drivers in Devon and Cornwall.
  8. If a winner is outside of our local delivery area a Third-Party courier service may be used.
  9. Winners' details may be passed onto a third-party courier service for delivery purposes only. 
  10. Prizes will be delivered within 28 days of the winner providing confirmation of address
  11. Winners will be required to disclose a name, address and telephone number to enable the delivery of the prize. A mobile number will be required if the recipient wants to track the progress of the delivery
  12. The data supplied to Furniture World will be held with us and our couriers if applicable until delivery is completed
  13. Winners are responsible for accepting the delivery of the prize at the address specified and providing the correct address details. Furniture World and our couriers cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen prizes after delivery has been made.
  14. Furniture World may request that the winner participates in publicity arising from the Promotion. The winner is under no obligation to participate and may decline this request. Participation is at the winner’s discretion.

General:

  1. By taking part in the competition, entrants agree to take part in relevant publicity without further consent or payment. Such publicity may include, without limitation, the participant’s name and/or image, and statements made by the participants concerning the promotion, being uploaded on to Furniture Worlds social media pages. Furniture World reserves the right to use content submitted for further marketing promotions. 
  2. In the event of circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, or otherwise where fraud, abuse, and/or an error (human or computer) affects or could affect the proper operation of this promotion, and only where circumstances make this unavoidable, Furniture World reserves the right to cancel, amend, terminate or temporarily suspend this competition at any time with no liability to any entrant or any third party but we will always endeavor to minimize the effect to participants in order to avoid undue disappointment.
  3. No cash or another alternative prize will be provided in whole or in part, except that in the event of circumstances outside of its control Furniture World reserves the right to substitute a similar prize of equal or greater value.
  4. Winners are responsible for redeeming the prize.
  5. If for any reason any aspect of the competition does not function correctly, whether by means of infection by computer virus, network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any cause beyond the control of the Furniture World that corrupts or affects the administration, integrity or fairness of the competition, then Furniture World may at its sole discretion cancel, modify or suspend the competition and/or invalidate affected entries.
  6. Furniture World's decision in all matters relating to the competition is final and binding.
  7. Furniture World reserves the right to substitute the prize for an alternative of equal or greater value.
  8. Furniture World reserves the right to cancel, amend, terminate or temporarily suspend this competition in the event of any unforeseen circumstances or technical reason outside its reasonable control.

Data Protection:

  • Any personal data relating to the competition entries will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the individual’s prior consent. 
  • Winners will be chosen at random by promotions and software service provider Woobox, part of Woobox LLC, a third-party organization designed to allow businesses to gather personally identifiable information from Users who choose to enter the promotion.  Personal data is gathered for use of Furniture World in conjunction with the competition only.
  • Woobox takes its privacy obligations to both the people who enter the Promotions (Users) or (Entrants) and to its Sponsors very seriously and Woobox complies with various state, federal and international privacy policies. By entering the Promotion, entrants confirm that they have read and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and by the decisions of Furniture World, which are final in all matters relating to the Promotion. Failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of the Prize. No correspondence will be entered.
