Why are there further delays to my Furniture World delivery?

Firstly, we at Furniture World would like to take this opportunity to apologise wholeheartedly for any delays to furniture deliveries that you are experiencing.

This has been such an extremely challenging year where the situation is changing constantly. At Furniture World our number one priority is the health and safety of our staff, customers, suppliers, couriers and anyone that helps to create our Furniture World retail experience.

Sadly, due to the ongoing global pandemic, we are seeing some significant delays to furniture deliveries due to unprecedented delays at most of our UK ports. This has been headline news recently with lorries queuing for miles on roads unable to collect goods that were due to be unloaded. Unfortunately, this has affected some of our stock and therefore added unforeseen additional delays that are completely out of our control.

The ports being affected is due to a combination of factors due to the pandemic. Many companies are also implementing restricted staffing numbers to keep staff safe and all of these elements combined have ultimately resulted in huge delays to many companies across the UK.

This isn't just affecting Furniture World, it is affecting many UK businesses and the ability to deliver goods to the dates that were quoted when orders placed.

We are working extremely hard to maintain our usual level of service and to minimise disruption to our customers where possibly but unfortunately, due to factors well outside of our control, there are going to be some additional delays to receiving some goods.

We have been in touch with all customers that have been affected by this ongoing situation at the ports that have suffered further delays as a result. However, if you would like to ask any questions about your order please do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected] where we will, of course, be on hand to help.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that has supported our family-run business during the most challenging of times and appreciate your support and cooperation even when you are facing additional delays to receiving your goods.
